Metering Infrastructure

1. Metering infrastructure is divided into cells with each cell have a base station to communicate to server. The infrastructure has few similarities with GSM infrastructure but is different as each device does not have to directly communicate to base station but it can use its adjacent device as repeater to communicate to base station
2. The infrastructure is key to success of the metering solution, so the base station are equipped with remote monitoring software
3. Infrastructure becomes more reliable as the number of nodes increases
4. Infrastructure can be reusable for other metering application like electricity with the help of add-on components
